Jim Yavenditti

Jim Yavenditti is St. Luke's Director of Studies. He arrived on the Hilltop in 2002 as a Middle and Upper School Latin teacher, and along the way he has served as both the Sophomore Class Dean and the Head of Upper School. Since 2013 Jim has been the Director of Studies, where he provides academic counseling for Middle & Upper School students. Jim also is our schedule guru, and he is on the Growth and Renewal Team, which oversees faculty development. While most of his role is administrative these days, Jim happily continues to teach Classics courses every year, either in Latin, Greek and Roman History, or Classical Mythology. In 2015 Jim was awarded the Crusader of the Year award at SLS. Off the Hilltop, Jim is a member of the Connecticut Association of Independent School's Commission on Membership and Accreditation, and he is the Secretary for the Ridgefield Youth Commission.
